Kodaikanal tourist places have those names that you expect to find in storybooks. The aptly named ‘Dolphins nose’ is a rocky hill cliff that provides you a bird’s eye view of the breathtaking beauty that is Kodaikanal. It is a flast rock overlooking a deep cliff, with a shape like that of a Dolphin’s nose. The best time to visit this place is in the morning or early afternoon, as you can see the mist hanging longingly amongst the clouds.

Fruit juice vendors and food stalls occasionally dot the landscape, but the items are relatively expensive up here. Overall, Dolphin's Nose constitutes a half-day trip into the mountains for a rejuvenating morning (or evening!). Silver Cascade Falls

Silver Cascade Falls is located on Madurai Kodaikanal Road and is very near to Kodaikanal. You can see a stunning view of water thrashing down from about 200 feet right into the ground. There were fruit sellers on both sides of the road. You can park the vehicle at road side ,but always traffic conjuction is there.

Stand on the viewing platform that faces the waterfall and watch the clear water spilling into a pool. Check out the rugged rock formations and verdant foliage that flank either side of the cliff. The platform is a great vantage point for taking photos so have your camera ready. Cross the road to see a more tranquil waterfall, which flows beneath a bridge.

Kodaikanal Lake

The lake is the jewel of Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal Lake, also known as Kodai Lake is a manmade lake located in the Kodaikanal city in Dindigul district in Tamil Nadu, India. Sir Vere Henry Levinge, the then Collector of Madurai, was instrumental in creating the lake in 1863, amidst the Kodaikanal town which was developed by the British and early missionaries from USA.

The lake is said to be Kodaikanal's most popular geographic landmark and tourist attraction. Boating in Kodaikanal Lake. Over the years a boat club, boathouse and boat service (with rowing boats and pedalling boats and a public ferry) for the public and tourists has become fully functional and is of aesthetic significance for tourism. Boat Pageant and Flower Shows are a regular feature in the summer season which attracts tourists.
